I love this trend of surprise proposals being photographed. So much fun.

When this groom to be contacted me about this – I couldn’t help but mention how romantic he was. Propose in front of the Love statue? Doesn’t get more romantic than that! So of course to be covert, we had to blend in with the crowd. Very easy on most days on the Scottsdale Mall, tons of photographers, weddings, family sessions, easy to not be noticed by an unsuspecting bride to be.

The groom was clever, he asked one of the girls in the crowd to take a photo of him and his bride to be in front of the statue. Then he dropped to one knee. Needless to say, bride to be was shocked – and happy all rolled into one! Conveniently, there was a group celebrating a bachelorette party waiting to take their turn having their photo taken in front of the statue – they leant her a BRIDE TO BE sash to wear. Too cute.
