Rain is such a foreign concept in the Phoenix area. We seldom give it any thought. When that strange looking cloud with little rain drops appears on your iPhone and you instantly think that it will just magically pass without causing any sort of interruptions to our plans, especially plans that involve a well orchestrated styled shoot at 5am on a summer morning.
Somehow everything managed to go off without a hitch. (of course because we were in the capable hands of Life Design Events and the Mountain Shadows staff) Yes the rain came and went and came and went but we all still managed to get this done. And done pretty well if you ask me.
Mountain Shadows is such a picturesque backdrop inside and outside. The mid century modern feel coupled with bits of history sprinkled about make this property a one of a kind spot to host an event or wedding. Fortunately for us, we could wait out the rain by shooting indoors for some of these great photos featuring the property.
Styled shoots can be a bit of a challenge if a couple isn’t comfortable interacting, heck even a real wedding can be tough if there is no chemistry between a couple. Todd and Eddie couldn’t have been any more easy going with us and with one another. Married for several years, these two were outstanding, easy to photograph, obviously in love, making our jobs oh so easy. This couple combined with all these industry professionals made for a very pretty morning, in spite of the rain!
