(This month, we had the good fortune of photographing a multi day wedding near Bend, Oregon. In our downtime, we wanted to document the surrounding areas that meant so much to this couple. After all, they chose this destination for a reason. Trust me, it wasn’t difficult to understand why!)

Bend and its surrounding areas have this incredible balance of nature seemingly at every turn. Spending a few days surrounded by such beauty is nothing short of inspiring. Just looking at this photo brings me to a peaceful place – and makes me want to get out and explore and hopefully one day soon return to this corner of the world. 

Being amongst these tall trees, the feel of the cooler air, the slight breeze, the sound of the water. Keith and I found a spot over looking this scene, sat and just stared at the Deschutes River, lost in our own thoughts, silent yet present. 

Sitting next to the person I love so much, at that moment there wasn’t a more perfect spot in the whole world.
